Keeping track of business connections on Whatsapp
I always follow a specific format when saving connections in phonebook, which goes something like-
Name | Designation, Company | Place | Source reference
For example, I would save my own number as-
Ayush Poddar | Founder, StartupGTM | Delhi Event
However, as our conversations progress, we need to attach keywords as per our interactions, the meetings and potential opportunities.
Here are some of the keywords or tags I use to take my conversation forward-
- Partner funnel- potential or warm partner
- Customer funnel- Potential customer, warm prospect or to follow-up
- Common group- 1000f group
- My own group- Free, paid or creator group
- Other professionals or works- Creator, influencer or agency
- Skills- Marketing, sales, tech, AI
- Dates- 22 June, 26 June
These tags help me warm my connections with different types of messages as per the keyword or set of keywords, for example-
- Follow up- I have to follow up on 22 June
- My blogs needs to be shared with marketing folks in my network
- A message needs to be sent to the common group connections
- A message to my free groups, paid group members
- A reminder message to be compliant for the founders in my network
- Sharing the newsletter I wrote with the creators in my network for feedback
Using tags and keywords, now I can easily sort through my connections on a daily basis. In the long term, this will level up my networking game!
Whatlist helps you add tags to your contacts on Whatsapp and make broadcast lists, which can help you in reaching more people in a personalized manner.
